What do college students do to get out of homework on a rainy/snowy/cold/miserable Saturday afternoon?
Sometimes it’s not even the working out part, (or walking to the gym part in my case) that is the biggest barrier to not working out… it’s coming up with a workout that will actually… well work you out!
So I’m sharing what we did today. My workout buddy describes it as an 8.72 on an exhaustion level between 1-10 (10 being the hardest 🙂 )
Warm Up: we jogged 1/2 mile, but feel free to do anything for around 5 minutes just to get your muscles warm
Then the weight room portion:
-since there was two of us, one did a move from the left column while the other did a right column move, then switched and did that so each exercise with appropriate reps was done 3 times through. But if working out alone, you can easily just take a quick break between each move before doing it again; or go through each move and then repeat entire section 2 more times!
Core and MORE!
For this section, do each move for 30 seconds, no breaks in between. Then rest 1 minute and go through it all again.
Stretch and call it a day!
Oh and don’t forget the post-workout snack 🙂
Obviously I choose some ‘overnight’ oats made with 1/3 cup vanilla Greek yogurt, 1/3 cup milk, 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup blueberries, a pinch of cinnamon and splash of almond extract
