P28 – say what!?

P28 – say what!?

So if you’re anything like me, the name P28  may be a bit confusing? Just what does this assortment of numbers and letters mean? I had no idea either – that is, until I was sent some samples from this company to review for y’all!

P28 Foods specializes in high quality protein breads, bagels and now spreads! Like peanut, almond butter, etc. Combine 1 piece of bread with 2 TBSP. of their spread and you have: 28g of Protein! (hence, P28)

I was given the opportunity to sample their bread, bagels and their signature spread which is: delicious mixture of high quality Almonds, Peanuts, Cranberries, Sunflower Seeds, Honey, Flax Seeds, Cinnamon, and Whey Protein. This is an extremely nutrient rich blend high in Protein and Omega-3’s!

It definitely doesn’t taste like any other spread I’ve had before. The texture is a bit grainy, but not in a bad way! I LOVE how much protein it has! And healthy fats!IMG_2391

I have used it a lot of ways, but really love it in oatmeal!

I really liked the bagels too – but I must warn you… TOAST them! They are pretty dense and chewy, but when you toast them they become crunchy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. Very good! I love taking them to work; when I only have 15 minutes to eat I need to get in and get nourished and get out! The protein is perfect and tides me over until the end of my shift.

The box of samples 🙂 Some bread, bagels, spread and I almost forgot- high protein wrap!

With the wraps I’ve made:

Crackers! Just brush with a little olive oil and sprinkle with seasoned salt. Bake at 400 for 8 minutes – be very careful, they are easy to burn! …words of experience :/

I also made flatbread pizza!

My roommates LOVED it too! Just cut into squares, spread with sauce, and toppings and bake at 350* until cheese melts (that’s a good indication everything else is warmed as well and flatbread is crispy!

So there ya have it! I know I didn’t talk much about the bread; it wasn’t my favorite product, but again is much better toasted! I think it would make really good French toast or something along those lines, but the flavor by itself just wasn’t for me; not that it was bad, just different. There are a lot of good reviews on it so I’m sure some of you out there would really love it!

A picture of the bread – good, just not my fav)

Have any of you used P28 products? I want to try their peanut butter, esp. the banana flavored one!
