I’ll have my coffee with… protein!

How’s that for a coffee order?
I’m definitely not that bad when it comes to ordering a cup of joe, I can drink it black… but truth be told – I do like to jazz up my coffee!

My favorite way? Blended, with chocolate and peanut butter…. yes, yes I realize this is more like a dessert shake – but you asked for my favorite!

I don’t know about you, but I find it difficult to get protein in the morning… other than yogurt and the occasional scrambled egg, my breakfasts are mostly carbohydrates.

If only there was some way to combine my need for protein with my love of coffee…

Taken from their website: “Java Pro is Whey Protein Complex drink mix with real coffee. Anytime of day, wake up, stay up, pre or post reps pick-me-up. For a rich, thick shake, mix roughly 1 1/2 scoops, with 12 fluid ounces of water in a shaker or blender.”

Java pro comes in a variety of flavors:

I sampled the caramel and mocha varieties – and both were very good! I liked the mocha better, but that is just a personal preference as I am much more of a mocha girl than a caramel girl.

I tried it once just mixed with water and poured over ice and another time I mixed with 1 cup milk and blended it with ice for a frappe. Yum.

I can handle that! 1 gram of sugar?! 20 grams of protein. ALLLLLL the vitamins and minerals. Ridiculously great.

So there’s that.
