Earnest Eats are a specialized cereal company. They sell energy bars, granola bars and planks and hot cereal.
They also have what is called the Earnest Cause:
FIVE CENTS, UP TO $15,000 ANNUALLY, FROM EACH SALE SUPPORTS THE INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE’S MISSION TO LEAD REFUGEES FROM HARM TO HOME.
But what is the International Rescue Committee?
It was founded by Albert Einstein and responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helps people to survive and rebuild their lives in the U.S. through community gardening, nutrition education and small business farming. The IRC restores safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted and struggling to endure. The IRC leads the way from harm to home.
Now that makes my tummy and my heart happy 🙂
And just look at this… Ok, so we can see their business model is choke full of good stuff – but the real question at hand: is it worth eating?
We can just get straight to the answer – YES!
And I’m not just saying that because they gave me a pony… oh wait, they didn’t give me a pony! So you really can trust me 🙂
My favorite product of theirs is their energy bars. They taste like a giant oatmeal cookie! So chewy and delicious. And the nutritional stats are too bad themselves – they are each about 200 calories, with 4 grams fiber and 6 grams protein. They are extremely satisfying and a great snack to tide you over, or quick breakfast on the go.
I’ve really enjoyed their oatmeal as well (is there an oatmeal I don’t like?). I love all the different combinations they’ve created – my favorite is the American blend with cranberries, almonds and flax. My favorite way to eat it thus far? Baking it into some cranberry scones! (Recipe coming!)
So there ya have it folks…
Good values, good food, great taste!
Go check out Earnest Eats and let your heart and tastebuds smile 🙂
