Like this article 12 Classic Love Scenes Improved by Chipotle Burritos or this one about the 23 Signs You’re an Awkward Individual (as if I needed an article to tell me that!)

But sometimes… just sometimes Buzzed supplies us with accurate, useful information necessary to survival. Like this article about the green smoothie in NYC everyone is talking about.

I like vegetables and I like smoothies. But until now, I’ve never really cared for vegetables in my smoothies. This is a game changer people, I’m telling you!

I’ve never drank kale and wanted more when the straw ran dry… until now.

This smoothie has only 5 ingredients and takes no time to prepare! It’s perfect post-run (or insert choice of workout here) or as a quick breakfast on the go.


Green Smoothie NE Style

  • Yield: 1 smoothie

The green smoothie everyone in NYC is supposedly talking about, but with a little Nebraska flair.



  1. Chop banana and pear into small chunks and place in freezer bag with kale and almond butter
  2. Freeze
  3. When ready to make the smoothie just dump the frozen bag contents into a blender (I use my Vitamix and it does a fabulous job!) with milk and sweetener - blend, slurp, smile
